There are just a few minutes left in the debate and my thought is that both have done very well and the debate has been, in most respects, much more civil than I would have expected. My disappointment is palpable in the lack of attention given to health care! My hope for months has been that changing our system of providing health care should be of primary importance, but the debates have egregiously overlooked this issue.
Let me say one more thing about the questioning of the candidates: Gibson and George (sorry, I'm not about to try to spell his name from memory) have asked some incredibly stupid questions and framed some of these questions in a contentious manner. I want either, or both, of the candidates to respond: Charlie (insert George), I can't believe that a questioner of your caliber can be so stupid and shallow!
Wouldn't that be great?
