Friday Catblogging ::

I have always been a bit envious of Kevin Drum and others who take great delight in posting photographs of their cats on Friday. I have been a dog person for years although I have considered getting a kitten. I have had them in the past and enjoyed them tremendously, but I was concerned about how my dog, a Chow, would accept a feline.

Last evening I was leaving the country mansion at about 9:30pm and heard some odd noises which turned out to be meowing. A small kitten emerged from some of my gardening gear on the driveway. She (confirmation that it is a she!) looked to be very young and a bit malnourished so I stopped and picked up some cat food just in case she was still here when I got home. She was. I put out a bowl of food and water and she still resides in my garage. I'm not sure how I will get Sable, my Chow, to accept her, but Missy (new cat name) seems to be settling in.

On the way home I stopped off at the Wal-Mart and picked up a kitty litter tray along with some kitty litter and a couple more cans of food. I can see that cats are more expensive than dogs.

Without further ado here is my first entry into Friday catblogging:
